Brief
I was asked to design a White Paper led by CLLAN (CLL Advocacy Network) and funded by AstraZeneca, bringing two established brands together around a shared piece of research.
The challenge was to create a visual approach that felt appropriate to both organisations while making complex research clear and engaging. The design then needed to extend beyond the White Paper into a wider campaign, including an animated social promotion and a research poster for iwCLL.
Approach
With CLLAN leading the communication, I needed to find a balance between two established brands while allowing the piece to develop a visual identity of its own.
I used colour and familiar elements of AstraZeneca's visual language to create a sense of continuity and reflect the depth of research behind the paper. From there, I developed a consistent family of graphics and imagery that could run throughout the piece, helping to bring clarity to the research and recommendations.
The result was a clean, simple visual approach with enough warmth to make the content feel accessible and easy to navigate.
Outcomes
A cohesive visual identity that brought two established brands together while giving the research a clear identity of its own.
Complex research translated into clear, accessible visual storytelling across the White Paper and supporting infographics.
A flexible creative approach extended across print, motion and social, through to the research presented at iwCLL.
